Habari Nzuri! (good news).

Nell, Ann and I will be spending the next nine months at Faraja School (http://www.farajaschool.org/) near Moshi, Tanzania, East Africa. WOW! Nell is calling this a sabbatical/mission trip. We invite you to "come along" with uys as we live and work at an incredible school with some amazing people. Our blog site is http://www.faraja09-10blogspot.com/. We hope to journal through pictures and words to give you a taste of our adventure.

Tanzania! With Mt. Kilimanjaro floating on a cloud behind our school, we will do our best to stay focused on our goals. Did I mention Tanzania is also home to the Serengeti, Zanzibar, and Gombe?

Faraja School is the inspiration of Don and Joann Tolmie of Norfolk, Virginia. This "young at heart" couple started Faraja (comfort in Swahili), as a boarding school for physically handicapped children K - 7th grades. 86 kids, their teachers, school leaders, and support staff will be our extended family as we live on campus. Teaching English, after school activities, going to school...yes Ann you have to go to school; and veterinary work are just some of our job. Tennis. Yes tennis will be taught in Tanzania come hell or high water.

Kate and Will shall come as well. Kate wants to write, teach, and explore. Will wants to "safari" and hunt. We should all be together for Christmas. What a magnificent dream to spend Christmas with our entire family in Africa! We leave September 15th. "Oh the places we go and the people we meet." Now, let the adventure begin.
